Dr. Khaleghi

Behnam Khaleghi, MD, is a board-certified rheumatologist who blends cutting-edge technology with comprehensive patient-oriented care and is honored to serve the communities of Orange County, California, at Pacific Rheumatology Medical Center. Dr. K is one of the most trusted and popular rheumatologists in Orange County, due in a large part to his unique and personal approach to medicine. With 20+ years of experience, Dr. K believes that every patient is different and deserves a personalized treatment approach. While most medical practitioners do not offer custom diagnosis for their patients, Dr. K takes into account his patient’s whole situation and offers a custom plan for each individual.

Dr. Khaleghi was born in Montreal, Canada before moving to Iran when he was three years old. His father was an orthopedic surgeon, exposing Dr. Khaleghi to the medical field from a very young age. Dr. Khaleghi earned his medical degree and graduated with honors at Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran, one of the most prestigious academic institutions in Iran. He then went on to complete his internship and residency in internal medicine at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, New York, before completing a rheumatology fellowship at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey. During this fellowship, Dr. Khaleghi earned the Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Teaching, and was involved in clinical research regarding pain management.

Dr. Khaleghi married his wife, Nazila, in 2011 before moving to Southern California and starting both a family and an independent practice in Orange County. They have three kids together; two daughters aged 4 and 6, and an 8 year old son. Dr, Khaleghi is family oriented, with some of his favorite pastimes including spending time with and reading to his kids. He also enjoys golfing, riding motorcycles, and barbecuing.

In addition to English, Dr. Khaleghi is fluent in Farsi. His special interests are adult rheumatic diseases, including arthritis, lupus, and osteoporosis. He’s invested in continuous learning and moving medicine forward. Dr. Khaleghi is also very involved in the local community, working with charities, local schools, and setting up mentorship programs for up and coming doctors and nurses.

By offering the most current and state-of-the-art therapies and services, including regenerative medicine, Dr. Khaleghi ensures his patients have access to the highest level of patient care. He also considers serving people to be a privilege and spends as much time as necessary listening to his patients.

Janet Ma

Janet Ma graduated from Western University of Health Sciences with both a Master’s Degree of Science in Nursing and a certification as a Nurse Practitioner. Janet then worked at Orange Coast Memorial Care on the telemetry floor for three years, gaining experience in Nursing before coming to work at PRMC.

Janet is BLS certified, ACLS certified, and PCCN certified. All of these abilities further enable Janet to follow her passion of helping patients with chronic conditions maintain a high quality of life. She believes in treating the patient as a whole and considering all aspects of health management for a holistic care experience.

More than just a Nurse practitioner, Janet is a loving wife, mother, and dog owner. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and newborn daughter, as well as going on walks with their dog and cooking for her family.
